Grand Opening Sunday 22nd October

The Bricket Wood Station Heritage Trust is proud to announce that the Grand Opening of the restored station will take place on Sunday 22nd October 2023.

Amongst other things there will be:

  • A display of photos and memorabilia at the station charting the history of the station, including the restoration
  • Free tea, coffee and cake courtesy of the Trust and The Tea Room @ Bricket Wood
  • One or two speeches!

Further details will be posted in due course, but please pencil in this date and watch this space for more information.

Meanwhile, the first two weeks of operation at the Tea Room have been a tremendous success. There have been hundreds of visitors and many many positive comments, some people observing that the quality of the restoration is so high that it feels as though the station has, “always been there”, other people just celebrating the high quality of the food and drink on offer!

The Tea Room is now open between 0900 and 1500 on Wednesdays to Saturdays inclusive, all year round, although please note that due to holiday, it will be closed temporarily from the end of Friday 11th August, reopening again on Wednesday 30th August.

Above: The Tea Room saw over 200 people on its first day.

The people who made it happen: The Trustees of the Bricket Wood Station Heritage Trust plus Cheryl Clark, proprietor of the Tea Room.
